Yousef Saadeh, (Artist and Researcher) born in Al-Qubeibi (Emmaus). He is a dedicated self
taught artist. Although originally educated as a lawyer in Syria, Saadeh’s passion for art
remained a constant driving force in his life. He lived in various European countries before
returning to Palestine , which influenced his exposure, vision and art techniques.
He masters a diverse medium, to explore themes of identity, memory, and resilience . Saadeh
has actively contributed to the local art scene. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and
collaborative projects led by acclaimed international artists and curators. In 2006 he was
awarded the Cite des Art residency award. He also was selected to participate in the Zaher
project curated by Pierre Muyelle, In addition to many local and regional collective and solo
participation.
