Bashar Al-Hroub (1978) is a Palestinian artist and academic, born in Jerusalem. He received the Fine Arts Award from An-Najah National University in 2001, and holds a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art from the Winchester School of Art in Southampton, Britain, a Ford Foundation scholarship in 2010. He has so far participated in international festivals and a number of art residencies in Arab and European countries. He has works and collections in many museums around the world. He received the first prize (Grand Prize) at the 15th Asian Art Biennale in Bangladesh in 2012, and was the first Palestinian to receive it.
